Early Childhood Neighborhood (ECN) Parent Handbook
|
Your child can only enjoy participating in the activities of ECN when she or he is well. And being a
good neighbor means being concerned about helping others stay well, too. Your child should not
come to our program if he/she:
1. has had fever, vomited, or had diarrhea in the previous 24 hours.
2. has a sore throat.
3. has rash or skin eruption.
4. has inflammation of the eyelids.
5. has head lice.
6. is fussy, cranky or generally not him/herself.
7. has a nasal discharge that is not clear in color.
The teachers and Director will not administer medication, vitamins, or other substances. If a child
becomes ill while she or he is in the Early Childhood Neighborhood, the Director will call the child’s
parents who will be expected to take the child home or otherwise arrange for care in another location.
